Chatsworth opens Belfast office

Chatsworth has opened a new office in Belfast to tap into the city’s thriving fintech scene and deep pool of talent.

Chatsworth has expanded its team with the opening of a new Belfast office, helmed by director, Michael Deeny, who rejoins Chatsworth after three years at global payments and messaging organisation, SWIFT.

The Belfast team will work closely with the team in London and New York to service the firm’s financial technology and market infrastructure clients across the globe, capitalising on a deep and growing talent pool in the Northern Ireland city.

Belfast, which is increasingly being seen as a city bursting with entrepreneurship and innovation, has been one of the main beneficiaries of this trend. It has been ranked in the top tech cities in the UK in a new report by the UK’s Digital Economy Council

Investment that is pouring into Belfast. Citi [paywall] plans to hire 400 people, bringing its headcount to 3,600+ and FinTru aims to double its headcount to 1,600. Big Four accounting firms PwC, Deloitte and KPMG, also plan to create 2,200 jobs in Belfast.

Meet the head of our Belfast office

Michael Deeny, a senior consultant at Chatsworth Communications, heads up our Belfast office. He moved back to Belfast after spending three years in London. 

Michael has over six years of experience in fintech PR and communications and works across our fintech and FX clients. 

He’s worked at Chatsworth for nearly three years and also has two years of in-house experience in the corporate communications department of SWIFT, a provider of secure financial messaging services.
